And carve pumpkins with Dane and Heidi.
This was our first year staying in and handing out candy. We bought a bag of 100 and thought we'd be fine, but we were out by 8:00. My favorite costumes were a family of Mario characters. Two brothers were Mario and Lugi, their sister was Princess Peach, and the baby...a mushroom!! He had a little mushroom beanie on. So cute!!
This year we didn't dress up because we didn't really have plans to go anywhere. And, we kind of ran out of time. Spencer was put in charge of decorating at his office, and he built this awesome robot replica from Star Wars, since that was their theme.
The day after Halloween he surprised me and took me to see Dracula! (I MAY have dropped a few hints.) Vampires and Ballet? Yes, please. It. was. awesome. Dracula was super creepy. The effects were great. He flew through the air at one point and at the end, he exploded in a firework, then his dead body fell from the ceiling. The brides were my favorite. They did such a good job at being really, really creepy, and really, really beautiful simultaneously. The henchman was great too. He did a great job at being spastic and graceful simultaneously...which are complete opposites but somehow, he achieved it. It was at the capitol theater and it is such a beautiful space. You aren't allowed to take pics, but we took a self-portrait on the DL.
Now, I'm preparing to go see Breaking Dawn. And my Christmas decor may or may not be up...

3 people made my day:
Sounds like the ballet was wonderful, a little jealous I am;) Great work on all those pumpkin recipes by the way, will you ever eat pumpkin again?
Thanks, Gwen! Compliments from you about food make my day! We're actually not TOO burnt out on pumpkin, but I think we're good till next year. :)
